Road Kill movie review (2010)

Road Kill (2010)

Short review: Directed by Dean Francis , "Road Kill" is a supernatural thriller about a group of teenagers menaced by a driver-less train in the Australian outback. The film is a part of 2010 Fangoria’s FrightFest, but unfortunately, there's nothing frightening about it. It's your typical road horror/thriller with some supernatural elements in it. Instead of a crazy blood-thirsty driver, this time we have a haunted road train that possesses its passengers. Since, we’ve seen all variations on the 'killer vehicle' scenario, this film's premise doesn't surprise, and the movie itself is not intriguing at all. Despite some decent performances, and nice wilderness scenery, "Road Kill" is an odd-ball boring experiences, where nothing is really explained. The characters are flat and unlikable and I didn't care whether they die or not. "Road Kill" is bizarre and often dull horror flick, with zero substance, that lacks any character development and fails to deliver chills and suspense.
